Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, died on Dec. 29, 2024, at the age of 100. Among Carter's many diplomatic achievements during his presidency, perhaps the most notable was promoting the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China.
Recalling former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, Bruce Reynolds, a professor emeritus from the University of Virginia (UVA), told China News Network that Carter is a man of morality, intelligence. Reynolds further pointed out that Carter is committed to making peace all his life and he is persisted in doing right things. 据介绍，全省夏收工作6月7日基本结束，夏粮丰收已成定局。夏播工作从5月28日大面积展开，截至6月13日，已播种面积7915.2万亩，夏播工作大头落地。初步统计，目前全省因旱不能播种面积323万亩，若未来持续无有效降水，夏播进度将会进一步放慢。
6月14日上午，水利部组织开展抗旱专题会商，分析研判华北黄淮等北方地区旱情形势，要求即日起，受旱地区上游黄河、海河、淮河流域的控制性水库全部进入抗旱调度模式，加大下泄流量，保障抗旱用水需求，确保城乡居民饮水安全，以及规模化养殖和大牲畜用水安全，全力保障灌区农作物时令灌溉用水。6月14日15时，水利部将针对河南、河北的干旱防御应急响应提升至三级，目前维持针对山西、江苏、安徽、山东、陕西、甘肃6省的干旱防御四级应急响应，并派出两个工作组正在一线指导抗旱工作。
